aim profile link

  1. my girlfriend and her roomate both have a thing in their aol instant messenger profile that creates a link to <a porn portal>and changes their homepages to that as well. virus scan says there's a trojan, and we got rid of it on the roomate's pc, but we cannot find it on my girlfriend's. has anyone seen this before or know how to deal with it?

    Could you please tell us what scanner you used and what name it used for that trojan?

    Hi, thanks for the help so far, I would have replied sooner, but i had class. The virus scan that the roomate used was Symantec, my girlfriend used the same scanner and it didn't find anything. The file that was found was download.aduent.trojan, apparenltly :p

    and see if that av.exe is present and runniong on that computer.
