    Hello all,

I uninstalled the Acronis Boot selector since i had only one XP pro OS installed.
The following reboot, i had a warning "the MBR will be modified, press Y to confirm" or something like this.

Then, when the system rebooted, i have the <windows folder>system32\hal.dll is missing or corrupt.

Should i do a FIXMBR and a BOOTCFG without loose all my data?

    Thank you for your help...

you can try to do the fixmbr and fixboot and then bootcfg /rebuild but i still doubt you'll boot with the hal.dll message.

    Thanks,

    Chris
