So in this case, can we put the theory that it was the SSD which was the problem ("infant mortality") to rest? If so, should I reconsider it to be a Rollback Rx issue, notwithstanding no prior reporting?

    I would...

If it only happens with Rollback installed... yes.

    kriteshHDS,

I appreciate your reminder. With due respect, in my past dealings with HDS when I submitted tickets for similar (not identical) problems, without fail, each time I was eventually asked to submit a log, after which the only conclusive reply I received was that the development team would take a look at it. There was no immediate advice on how to fix the problem (aside from the trivial and non-specific advice to uninstall the software and reinstall it, meaning that I would loose all my snapshots). In the end, I was forced to reformat the drive and to rebuild the system. The experience was wholly unsatisfactory.

I chose to ask the question here because of the large number of informed users, such as TheRollbackFrog, who can provide sound and concrete advice on Rollback. I simply do not have the confidence that my question will be answered to the same extent and with the same openness at the HDS forum.
