Hi, I am thinking of purchasing Acronis True Image for the purpose of making a spanned dvd backup of my data hard drives, not my boot drives. I am just wondering if say one of the dvds that I have made a backup to fails in some way does that mean I will not be able to restore anything if say I spanned the backup across multiple dvds? If thats the case does anyone know of a backup solution that would be more suitable so that I could recover at least part of the backup data.

    Many thanks for your time.

    Kaine

    Hello Kainekainekaine,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Please be aware that you should have all the volumes of the archive to restore it. In case of saving backups to DVDs, you should have all the DVDs for restoration process.

You can also use other (more safety) storage (e.g. USB drives) for the backups.

You can find the detailed information in User’s Guide.

We are always at your service should you have any further questions.

    Thank you.
