I tried the betas and it's impressive.

I expected the difference between the free release and paid versions to be a lack of automation.

Unfortunately, there is a lot more missing from the free version.

The free version is so stripped down I uninstalled it.

Once bitten, twice shy, no more IOBit for me.

Could you expand on some of the things missing? I also thought automation was the only thing missing....

I can't find anything missing in the final version compared with the last beta.

This is still in beta.I'm running the latest v4 of this.I had to have a valid license just to install this (beta). The Pro version is great don't get me wrong, but to buy a license just to run this is strange.

Since uninstalling v2 completely and installing v3, I now have Open File Folder (F) in the shortcut drop down menu of any program including My Computer. It show's the actual program folder but F is a Pioneer writer. What is this, thank's?

    (B) refers to Boost and (F) to file or folder not to your F: drive Pioneer.
a normal short cut takes you to a file. This right mouse shortcut takes you to the folder which contains the file. Also if you go right mouse and the B a program is supposed to start more quickly. nice idea but it does take time to go right mouse and click. is the boost permanent ?

Don't know, don't recall seeing B. Presently uninstalling v2 as I suspect some issues I had were caused by it, my desktop went blank but the icons remained and worked and Display still showed the proper image and my second internal SATA disk became inaccessible with Open returning the error that D was not a valid Win32 application. Also showed Autoplay above Open which did nothing. Like I said, just a suspicion but removing all with ATI.

    Downloaded this one http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html#

From what I remember I couldn't set system optimisation to Power User unless I upgraded. There was something to do with the registry clean - you have to pay for in-depth clean? I clicked a few things and it wanted me to upgrade.

Sorry to bump an old topic but I'd like to know your opinion on Advanced SystemCare. Is it any good? Is it worth having it installed? Is it safe to use? I'm not so fond of software changing stuff automatically on my computer without even letting me see what it is changing

    Thanks.

I'm using it a long time since it was Advanced WindowsCare.

    So far very good.

I've tried other similar products and i can see that there is improvement how product is getting mature.

    For me personally yes .

Any product can make you problems so first make a backup to external location and make an image of you computer so if are any problems you can restore.

As far as i can remember in the previous couple of years it hasn't make any problem. At least to me.

There is option of scanning and THEN you can choose what you want to repair or if you want you want to repair.

There are check box options so you can choose what actions can be taken.

Also there is one click maintenance as in every other similar products in that group, so it's up to you whether you will use this option or not.

I hope this helps a little.

I've been using it on my old thinkpad laptop. I just let it do its job and so far its been working just fine. I've tried most of the options including the registry and firefox optimizer too. While i haven't done any real testing, from my perspective it seems to have slightly improved performance overall. Nothing to get overly excited about but not too bad imo.

    PROROOTECT,

I think Perman was referring to the FREE 6 month licence for Advanced SystemCare PRO v3, see HERE.

    Take care, RD.:)
