    Hi,
Found this software: AdStripper by Preventon.
    http://www.preventon.com/adstripper/
    Possibly Free.

    ad-Stripper_box.png

    Features
    • Ad-Stripper can block all annoying ads on the web by default: video ads on YouTube, Facebook ads, flashy banners, popups, pop-unders and much more.
    • Just install once! Ad-Stripper works with all browsers … unlike plugins and addons, Ad-Stripper works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, chrome, Opera etc.
    • The user has the ability to selectively allow adverts on a site by site basis or advertiser basis.

Can anyone please test this? I am using AdGuard and can't test it!

Not a very constructive reply, but I wonder why you would need a standalone ad-blocker in the first place, stuff like Adblock Plus and Ghostery work just fine? :)

I prefer Adblock Plus over such softwares but such addons are not supported in all browsers. Moreover, one may dislike installing addons separately for each browser and prefer a standalone solution.

I tried it in shadow mode (shadow defender) in windows 8.1 pro 64bit. I could not view web pages after installing this. Might be a possible conflict with KIS 2015. Uninstalled via reboot.

I tried it a couple of days ago. It didn't remove any ads and its UI is just the system tray icon which be used to get to a dialog showing a list of filtered ads.

I just tried it in the vm against tpb, tmz and filehippo and it blocked all of the ads! My only complaint is the ram usage.

Well, I just tried it in my another system. My experience matches with @Overkill , only difference is that, the RAM usage is pretty low.
    RAM Usage.png
    • It blocked ALL the ads. (I disabled AdBlock Plus!)
    • Activity pop-up can be hidden.
    • Update check possible manually.
    • Ads can be allowed.
    • The software can be paused.
    • Cons: Shows a splash screen at startup!

Hmmm...the RAM usage is realy low but not so low...I see 3 processes on my Vista but in fact they use RAM less than ABP or AdGuard so Firefox can be much lighter

AS also show popup about blocked addons

An update: It doesn't filter out Google Adsense Ads.
