Yep, but to me it looks like that the structure of the file name was changed, or it is related to the warning from Nick:
What do I mean with "structure of file name":

The file name used to be for the last few times like:
    AdbeRdrUpd932_all_incr.msp
    AdbeRdrUpd933_all_incr.msp
    AdbeRdrUpd934_all_incr.msp

And now, at least for the moment (maybe related to what Nick said), it looks like to be:
    AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp

You know, things are sometimes in the details. ;)

Anyhow, I'm confused by Adobe

    Re: Adobe Reader 9.4.0

Today, a Security Bulletin has been posted in regards to this quarter’s security updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat. The updates address critical security issues in the products, including CVE-2010-2883 referenced in Security Advisory APSA10-02 and CVE-2010-2884 referenced in the Adobe Flash Player Security Bulletin APSB10-22. Adobe recommends that users apply the updates for their product installations.

Note that today’s updates represent an accelerated release of the quarterly security update originally scheduled for October 12, 2010. With this accelerated schedule, Adobe will not release additional updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat on October 12, 2010. The next quarterly security updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat are scheduled for February 8, 2011.

Yes, I do recall that name structure was like you mentioned. But, where do you see AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp? At the ftp address I've mentioned? Or at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows ?

At the ftp I only see AdbeRdr940_language_COUNTRY.exe and AdbeRdr940_language_COUNTRY.msi

But, you're right, these names are somewhat confusing. And, yes, most of the times things are in the details. :)

    -Edit-

Anyway, as Nick pointed out, it's available at the main page already. :)

    Hi m00nbl00d,

I saw the file AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp at the ftp site. Replace fxp with the obvious one in the following:

    fxp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.4.0/misc/

    It's MD5 checksum is:
The file AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp has the following Checksum(s)
    MD5 - 2C12D47E7D4A72728A921BA705C8F27A

At the moment I have not yet installed it.

    Re: Adobe Reader 9.4.0

    Thanks for the link.

Maybe Adobe now just names the updates that way. I guess the AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp means cumulative.

Anyway, I downloaded the *.exe file. Installed above the previous version. Working great.

    Regards

    -Edit-

By the way, I downloaded the exe from here hxxp://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4854

The process will take you to the main download page, where you can download the version for your O.S and language.

    FYI:
I tried to use that file AdbeRdrUpd940_mui_cum.msp and it didn't work on my system.
For now I myself will not update.
Thank you Adobe for once again making a mess :thumbd: :thumbd: :thumbd:
