    I now use SumatraPDF as my default pdf viewer.

    Unfortunately, a significant minority of PDFs still have to be manually viewed with Adobe Reader, so it's not a great solution for the average Windows user, I don't think.

    Maybe the web browsers could be modified to offer a choice of two apps for opening PDFs...perhaps as plugins?
