I am currently using Avast 5 as realtime protection but want to know if Prevx SafeOnline or Malwarebytes in realtime would be compatible with it? What about Hitman Pro? Is any additional protection even needed with Avast 5? Superantispyware paid expires soon and with the lukewarm reviews recently I am undecided if to renew....My usual browser is FF with AdBlock Plus, Ghostery, KeyScrambler, and Better Privacy Thank You

Thank you but my license for SAS is not lifetime. It was a one year subscription...I did not get the lifetime option....So again my question is do I need additional protection? Thanks

Check the Prevx forum here on Wilders. There is a free promo for Safe Online for facebook users.

instead of another realtime scanner I suggest you go for virtualization or sandboxing ... I suggest you go for SandboxIE (it has a free version) or Defensewall ... it's lighter and would cover you better than any signature based real time scanner.

Is MalwareBytes a one year license? Anywho, topguynow I'm using Avast 5 with MalwareBytes since having won it in Wilders giveaway. So far I really like it and it hasn't slowed me down in the least. I was concerned about the IP protection slowing my browsing down but it hasn't.

One thing topguynow asks is about the compatability of Prevx SafeOnline and Avast 5. I'd like to know about this also. I believe I read that some of the protection in Avast 5 may conflict with SafeOnline.

I second the use of Sandboxie. If used correctly, its complete coverage.
