How can they think they can win in the courts? No one forced them to create an advertising fuelled business model to run on the internet. They need to remember, the internet was there before they were so the only way to win is by pushing new internet technologies on top of more new internet technologies until the act of developing and maintaining a web browser engine is so complex only those with the resources of a corporation can do it.
Then, once all the independent web developers are reduced to creating mere GUI front ends for the corporate black box web browser engines, they can force the ads, the analyctics and the tracking into it just as they please.

USA still the best. But barely.
In the US we're marching towards the reverse of this in every way corps can monetize. Enjoy this win while you can.

Eyeo isn't really helping their cause with their racketeering tactic of charging larger firms for the right to display their ads. Of course there is also the increasing trend where firms are blocking viewers who use an ad blocker in their browser.

Not only that but I am seeing more and more web sites offering through the popup to turn your blocker off themselves. :cautious:
