Sorry if it,s a repeat question. Was using browsers without any extensions for the last year or so. Today I decided to add extensions to my browsers on Ubuntu. I am not sure which Adblock extension is best for opera and chrome.

    Thanks

I use Adblock Plus, because it's from the same developers of the Firefox extension. Also has (had?) better performance than Adblock.

I recommend Simple Adblock for Chrome.

On Opera I download manually the filters from Fanboy's website because I don't like any of those Adblock extensions. On Chrome I use this Adblock.

How is that performance wise against adblock+? Faster or slower? Anyone tested it?

I run Chrome with ADB, ADB+ and Ghostery. Maybe a bit redundant..

Im comparing adblock and adblock+ here on Chrome and it seems that adblock is a bit faster then adblock+ with the same custom blocklist.
    Need to test it further...

I second that. AdBlock is superior to AdbLock Plus which still lacks many features of the Firefox version.

Regarding Opera: As Opera will move to WebKit/Chromium in the near future, the situation will change.
