Adaware Se

    Is there any point for a home user like me to buy adaware se pro or pluso_O

    Or i am ok with the free edition

    I have the plus version which gives me Ad-watch - a little monitor which watches for some registry changes and alerts me plus if there is a nasty type of popup it may shut my browser down.

    If anything it would be the plus version if you want the active guard and doesn't leave Ad-aware simply as a scanner that said TeaTimer in Spybot plus RegProt or any other registry watcher will do the same. I know it alerts me to accept/reject changes to the keys it covers. I still have SpywareBlaster but Ad-watch helps also
    you will then have to option to accept or reject and a few wee tools to tweak. It really depends on your other security layers, I don't regret the purchase although I don't use this alone.

    Lavasoft removed detection of Hotbar after being threatened with a lawsuit :rolleyes:

    I see even my KAV protects me from Hotbar why not Adware :doubt:

    so really if u want prevention i get plus or pro.

    But if i just want a scanner i just need adaware freeo_O

    Does pro and plus have any extra scanning method or detectiono_O
