Is there a way to configure Ad-Aware to run on a USB drive (with user settings preserved and with minimal disk writing, to preserve USB drive life)? I just want Ad-Aware to run a quick scan and delete all files/entries that it has found (without the quarantine options - one of the reasons I want the settings preserved).

I regularly use my USB drive when surfing at Internet shops and almost all of the computers I use are loaded with spyware and other malware.

Also if this could be done with Spybot, info about configuring Spybot to run on a USB drive will be helpful too.

I'm not sure about ad-aware on a USB drive, but I know you can get it going on a BartPE boot disk.
