Active mode question

    Hi I've just been trying the beta 2 and theres one thing I dont understand and I tried to search the forum for it but couldnt find anything related to it, in the HTTP settings theres Web browsers and Active mode..
    what exactly is the difference between web browsers and active mode ?

    I read the help but I didnt really understand the difference between the two, sorry if this is a stupid question but I would really appreciate any reply.
