Hello,

I have a problem with Acronis Universl Restore: I have a Image of an Windows 2000 Server and a nw Opteron-Server with a 3ware 9500S SATA-Raid. The recovery of the image works fine (if I setup the disks as "single Disk" - if the target drive is a raid Aronis freezes). The driver replacement fails. in the eventlog this line can be found:

Code:
<event code="413" id="14" message="Installation des Treibers für 'PCI\VEN_13C1&DEV_1002&SUBSYS_100213C1&REV_00' fehlgeschlagen. (0x1D019D)
Tag = 0xDCB317F3CF89D81B" module="29" time="1166535460" type="4" />

the oemsetup.inf looks lke that:

Code:

Does anyone has some experiences using Acronis universal restore with the 3ware 9500S controller? The german support isn't able to help me in any way.

Kind Regards: Thilo

Hello Thilo,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Server Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (3832) of the German version of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Windows. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

Please also be aware that in case of using Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation or Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server you should also update all components including Acronis Agents, Acronis Management Console, Acronis Backup and Group Servers, Acronis Universal Restore as it is obligatory for all components to be of the same build in order to interact correctly. Also it is recommended to create new Bootable Rescue CD after installing the update.

If the issue persists with the latest build, please clarify the following:

Have you received any error messages during the restoration process? What exact error messages? When exactly have you received them?

Please also try to do the following:

- Boot the computer from a Windows installation CD;

- Hit F6 when prompted and check out whether the drivers work there.

If they do not (the RAID/HDD is not detected), then make sure you use the latest version of the drivers (e.g. from the vendor's Web site).

If the issue still persists, please create Acronis Report and Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post. Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

If you already have contacted Acronis Support Team, please let me know your Acronis request # which was sent to you in autoreply to your letter? I will find out how the investigation of your issue is going.

Thank you.
