I have craated a number of backups with a Acronis bootable CD. The backups are placed on another partiton. However, when I try to restore it will not work because the backups have (by default) the wrong Windows Security bit set. (The backups have a smalll "lock" icon when I look at them in Explorer). This is NOT a TrueImage password.

I can change the security bit for the files but I have never had this problem before. How can I change my system so that all backup files created with the Acronis bootable CD can be restored without resetting the security bit? Or is this something new in Windows 7?

    Regards, Ruud.
