    I have build 4942 (latest) of version 10 on Windows XP Pro.
    When I try to back up anything to any location on my computer (second hard drive or thumb drive), I get the error message E00640068 - Failed to create the scheduled task.
    Error #1722 "The RPC server is unavailable (0xFFF0)
    code = 800706BA
    Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8A6"
    I can't find anything relevant in the knowledge base.

    Help please.
    Thanks,
    Hoyt

    In most cases, the easiest way to fix this problem is to uninstall TrueImage, reboot and then reinstall TrueImage.

    It is worth checking in Windows Services the the RPC is actually running . If it has not started set it to automatic and start the service.

    John,
    Thanks. That fixed it. I wrote down my serial number first, and will keep the installation file in my Briefcase for future use.
    Very appreciative you took the time to help.

    Xpilot,
    Thanks. I did change a couple of things to make the RPC automatic. That should help overall. Reloading the program fixed the problem.
    Thanks,
    Hoyt
