I use Go Back Deluxe on my main desktop and with one exception it seems to work real well if an issue develops to revert back to a previous disc "image"..it will use a 4gb data but at least when i have set it up I have had to create a 10gb partition for it

Do you think Acronis secure zone and startup recovery manager are as good....

    Thanks

    Hi, nealh

I think you should make post like this in software & services.

As it it not a not an TrueIamge Issue.

    But as you have asked.

Thy are to different tools, if install on a clean uninfected OS, SZ is safe as it is hidden, so any Image is safe to restore.

GB is the same as your XP Pro's system restore, if at any time your OS get infected GB wil back the infection.

sorry..I figured if people used both, Acronis forum was a good place for it..since I was trying to determine whether GoBack and Securone Zone act in the same fashion

I have read the manual and unfortunately it is not clear to me whether Secure zone and ARSM periodically update the image ..I guess if I run the acronis scheduler it will do this...

I will move this to the other forum

    Hi, nealh

As I said they are different tools.

The reason I said what said, is because it is off topic and can cause unnecessary sniping posts.

It is not up to me if you post it but Anton Acronis Support, the Acronis Moderator.

    I hope you understand.

Just to correct something. A nasty can access files in the system restore area and infect them, not so with goback. If you have a point in time prior to the infection goback will indeed restore the system to a clean bill of health.
The "if" is a key thing.
