Acronis OSS Official Vista Support

Hi,

I really enjoy using Acronis Disk Director and especially Acronis OS Selector
And I'm really looking forward to a release that will officially support Windows Vista and will work reliably with a dual-vista setup.

When is a new release of Acronis Disk Director Suite is due to be released?

Build 2,160 of DD/OSS does "officially" support Vista. However, OSS still has problems properly detecting Vista (and XP) in certain situations (like brand-name OEM installations). Acronis has stated this will be fixed in a later build, but never tells a date.

If you're wanting an official response from Acronis, you'd be better off submitting a Support Request asking them (or sending them a PM). They very rarely post in the DD/OSS forum.

I use OSS with MS OEM/Retail Vista, XP Pro and various Linux installations and it's worked okay. In my tests, OSS has no problems detecting MS OEM/Retail Vista in normal installations. However, if anything is slightly different a manual addition is needed.
