    Hallo,
    I installed the trialversion (15 days) of discdirectorsuite 9.0. There had been 2 partitions: e:\ with the well running os, and c:\with the dammaged os.After having formatted the c:\- partition, normal booting is no more possible. At the beginning of the booting process there is displayed anything like: Acronis selector can't find the necessary configuration files. Install acronis osselector again.
    Because I wouldn't like to make a fault, I would like to know how to procedure

    Do you know which partition contained the main OSS files? If they were on the C: (damaged OS) partition, they would have been erased when you reformatted it. If that's the case, you would need to reinstall OSS.

    Hello Temps07 and MudCrab,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0

    Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

    Temps07, your OS Selector should be completely deactivated and activated again. This can be done from OS Selector bootable CD. We can provide you with the link to download it, please send us the serial number for the product and link to this thread via PM.

    To avoid the issue in future it is recommended to create a dedicated partition for Acronis OS Selector:

    * Create a small (but not less than 10 MB) FAT/FAT32/NTFS partition on the hard drive. It does not matter if the partition is created at the beginning of the drive or not;
    * Run the Acronis OS Selector installation program (Start -> Programs -> Acronis -> Acronis Disk Director -> Install Acronis OS Selector), uninstall it and reboot. Remember that you should choose the appropriate operating system to boot after the uninstallation (the operating system under which Acronis Disk Director is installed);
    * Run the installation once again in Custom mode and choose the created small partition as the installation path;
    * Reboot the computer and never defragment that partition.

    Thank you.
