    Acronis®*True*Image*Home® version 10.0 (build*4,871)

Hewlett Packard dv5t-1000 laptop with SATA hard drive
OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium
    Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002
    System Type X86-based PC
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz, 2267 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
    BIOS Version/Date Hewlett-Packard F.14, 1/23/2009
    Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume1

I get the following error message when trying to boot from acronis cd

"Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot Drive Partition not found. Press "enter" to try to load your OS."

I don't have a bootable vista installation disc that came with my computer, only recovery discs.

Is there anyway to restore my acronis backup to my laptop?

    Hello mossie3,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (4942), which is available here. To get access to updates you should first register Acronis software. Then recreate CD from it and check whether the issue persists.

If it does, please send us your serial number along with the link to this thread and we will provide you with the link to download ISO file with specific parameters.

    Thank you.
