i found this while browsing can't find where i got it now

question is it free/shareware/trial

i created the cd made a backup [verified] put on external drive

question will i be able to recover from a crash with this cd and backup or is there a cost

Not enough info for us to know what it is. Since you don't know where you got the iso, it could be a program containing malware.

But assuming it is from Acronis, it is probably one of two things:
1. The trial CD which can restore but not make a backup
2. The iso file that allows both and is only included for registered users.

The way for you to know which is to make a CD and see if you can make a backup. Version 11 is a couple of years old and may not have the drivers for your hardware so it may not even work with your PC - you just need to try it to find out.

Since you were able to make a backup, it is probably a true iso of the complete program on cd - in other words, you are using a pirated version....

 

If you install Acronis you can create a boot cd from within the program itself. It will work as advertised.

 

it made a backup i got it from a link in a forum not rapidshare but probably unknowingly pirated i've been looking for the link but still can't find it

backed up my drivers with driver magician lite

 

if it can't make a backup how/what does it restore from ?
