    Hi,

I have Acronis true image 8.0 and I'm trying to make a backup with the new
    IOMEGA REV Drive (USB).

The prooblem is that when I go in the Acronis wizard I don't see the letter
of the Iomega Rev Drive in order to select it. (..but in the explorer windows of win XP Pro I see it..)

    Why?

    Hello willy99,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/).

Acronis True Image 8.0 does support Iomega REV drive starting from the 774 build.

Please make sure you use the latest build, which is available on our web site at http://www.acronis.com/support/updates/. To get access to updates you should register your software first at http://www.acronis.com/registration/. Please disable any download managers, internet download/connection boosters, etc. before the download.

If the problem persists with the latest build please contact support@acronis.com.

    Thank you.

I have the same Problem like willy99. I have a Iomega REV-Drive connected through USB. I use True Image 8.0 Build 774. I don't see the drive letter of the REV-Drive as destination to save the image file. (I have read/write access with the Windows Explorer to the REV-Drive).

(I found out, that it works, when i create a network share of the rev drive letter . Then I could choose this share as destination to save the image file.)

    Thanks for your answers.

    Hello Frank,

Acronis True Image bootable rescue media is a Linux-based application. You tried to create an image of your system and save it to Iomega drive, Its not supported by Acronis True Image bootable rescue CD at the moment (its not supported by Linux itself). Its possible only to restore the image located on Iomega drive (i.e. the software can only read from Iomega drive, but it cant write on it).
