    Hi,
I was trying to "Conpress " my Registry after a Cleanout, and it was a new Program that I was trying it out. After the Compression, the Program seem NOT to exit and I did a Cntrl +ALT + Del to end the Process. Did Not have an effect at all.
Man, was I in for a BIG SURPRISE , the PC completely Freezes up. I had to push on the PC Button to Shut it down. To make a long story Short, I cannot Reboot it back to the Desktop with: The Last known Good Configaration or Safe Mode to do a Sysrem Restore.
I just make a Full Image Backup with TI 2 days ago, and also did a Check Image. So I loaded the Rescue Media CD and did a Restore Image, took 2 hrs and it went without a Hitch.
Everything is pretty much Restored and would like to say

THANKS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH ACRONICS TI FOR SAVING MY BUTT! :D :D :D

It's great when it works, and it always has for me, and you have your system back in a few minutes. Welcome to the "Acronis got me out of a hole" club. :)

Usually tales ~5 minutes to restore my system drive (6GB image). 2 hours seems quite excessive...

Same here. Been using TI for restoring indiviual partitions after messing around with software tests and things. Last weekend though my primary HDD failed totally. Luckily I had a spare one, TI (using rescue disk) restored a full disk image in less than 10 mins. In fact it took me longer opening my case and swapping drives than it did with the TI restore. All in all I was back to a fully working PC within half hour of failure. I then restored a couple of individual partitions that were more recent than the full disk image. This was my first real emergency use of TI and it did a great job.

I'm very pleased with this product.

BTW, the disk that failed was an IBM Deathstar (Deskstar). My spare and my disk 2 are both Seagate and never had a problem with either of them.

Yeap! What can I say, I don't know. Why TI takes about 2 Hrs to restore my entire C:\ Maybe it is mostly Windows Media Player Files for Video (.wmv ).
** The most IMPORTANT THING , IT WORKS WHEN I NEEDED IT. **
Rather than staring at the Screen, and pulling my hair out, cursing and all Piss off , for messing around Crappy Software, and kicking yorself for that.
