It looks like somewhere along my travels I have picked up a virus. AdAware doesn't work, nor does Search&Destroy. The problem is that this virus has hijacked my brower settings on the default page at 'About:Blank' and is inundating me with pop-ups and is running my processes extremely high. My notepad.exe is also gone replaced with notepad.exe.bak. I tried renaming it but that didn't work... One of the processes that is running high is my hphmon05.exe. This should be runnning but not at 70,000K+. Below is my log file from 'HijackThis'. Can you make some sense of this form me? Perhaps this forum will be able to give me a fix.

I've done what you said to do but I am a little sceptical about posting this log file. I can see what it is trying to do (search out a list of .dll files) but the log file looks suspicious. Can you tell me why you need this file? Or what I'm supposed to be looking for so I can do it myself?

    Suspicious, how?

It is not advised to follow the process yourself as there could be other files involved.

In a quick afterMath thought I've changed my mind.
Considering some new facts along with the *suspicious resullts and nonetheless , Suspicious identity of the poster, I rather hold off.

    Good luck ;)
