I think it's not signature-based although it search for updates and I can name it "very young and untrained"...it detects SpyShelter as suspicious, the same as Flash Player Plugin. I don't know how big is collection of trusted/untrusted executable files. After clicking "More" button on info you are redirected to the page with file rating. And one important thing...you must register on Abelsoft page before downloading installation file. AA-L is to heavy in comparison to similar software like SpyShelter altough SS more featured
