A2 activation help

hi all

anyone know how the **** to activate a2 because the auto updater isnt workin it just says conectiong to server and then wont go any further

no i dont have a proxie configured

no i dont have software interfearing everything sept systray and explorere is shutdown

whats goin on

anyone have an activation code for the free version so i can at least have a look at this program

The activation/registration code requires the email address you submitted to A Squared plus the code they emailed you ...

I use this as a backup AT as well as Ewido ... no problems.

If you continue to have problems, why not try to re-D/L it!

NOTE as for there server ... I just tried an update ... it's working OK ... are you sure it's not a firewall issue?

Actually, I prefer it (A2) to Ewido ... but that's not saying that they're both great! I like them both. (But the spinning A2 logo drives me nuts!!!)

dear Bethrezen, first tell me are you trying to update or activate. if you don't activate you won't be able to update, in fact you won't be able to use a2 at all! for activation you'll need to enter your email address and the activation code and hit ACTIVATE. to get your activation code just register for the free version and in a second you'll recieve the code via mail. the updater has some bugs though that'll be fixed and it works nice as far as updating is concerned. if you have the activation code and still can't activate it please report this to Andreas Haak. there is a nice way to activate it without even using the Internet but i can't tell you that because of ethical reasons. but if nothing works i'm sure Andreas will help you to it. don't get angry with a2 because its coming with some cool features in the next version.

im trying to activate i have the user name and code thay emailed to me but when i input it and hit activate it just sits there says connecting to server and wont go any further

its not a fw issue coz i shut everything down sep systray and exploere btw Ewido is no good for me as im using win 98 and thats only for 2000 and xp

and yes i am aware of the off line way of activating by edditing the a2upd.ini file i beleave or so i been told though i just dont know what im serposed to input

the only problem is that if to meany people are usinf the same account info the account would get shut down so its a question of how do i get the activation code uneack to my user name and password with out goin through the program

i cant even activate never mind update or use the program

that should just remove the activation at least for the free version

 

whats your isp free serve ?? coz aparentley there is a problem with that isp

coz thats the one i have and i suspect thats why it wont work for me

 

dear Bethrezen, its a registry hack not a INI hack. have you emailed the author about your problem?
