I tried it once and had some questions that I posted on their English forum ( http://bbs.micropoint.cn/ ) . For some reason the admin(s) kept deleting my posts.

I actually installed it, only to uninstall it after about 5 minutes. I find the interface very confusing (and just to note... black seldom makes a good appearance when it comes to usability unless very well thought through - this is not the case) and the grammar undeniably very bad. Yes, grammar is very important to me as I see the very small details in things. Great grammar gives the impression that something is professional.

you mean language grammar?im sorry.i can't do anything for it...i have never seen the english version.Sometimes is like that. When we have a software which is translated into chinsese,we can't understand it at all,all though it is chinese. But for us ,many words in modern times is from abroad,we'd rather english version than chinese version too.

Hi sololp, I am chinese, as well. However, I have never heard of this software before. And a famous expert from Rising is not a striking argument, Avira or Gdata (both are excellent german products) have existed for more than 20 years, I'm pretty sure they all have a solid knowlegde of what they have been doing.

And in my opinions, it is not difficult to be better than Rising since it's a piece of crap, they only care bout marketing and not about the program.

And I totally agree with raven, I always find it ridiculous that chinese companies are not willing to hire people who actually can speak decent english, it is the same with Twister. If they want to be succesful in the western countries, they will have to improve this aspect.

But as a chinese, I still hope that programs like twister or maybe this one you're talking about will make it to the top in the near future. I believe china definitely has potential and alot of professionals, they just have to be ''smarter''.

I agree with you.I think HIPS has more and more hope.I also think Micropoint will be stronger.I only hope it won't develop like other Chinese Antivirus firms.

I tried MP once last year. I thought its promising and still think so. But it really needs to be polished to be easier to use. Its not how cool it looks but how simple to be understood at a glance, which may explain why it is still a toy of the experienced av fans.

i have to say,Twister is very bad as a software.
Rising has its own trouble as a big company as Symantec.Rising is sure better than Twister, but Micropoint is good way for person not for companies.

Frankly, this basically sounds like corporate bullshit. You still bash other products and praise the one you support showing no evidence at all. Any proof about what you're saying, Mr. Fanboy?

I disagree. Twister is light, effective when it comes to removing malware and its detection capability is very impressive in my opinions. I have used Rising for about one year, then a friend told me to test Avira and so did I. The results were truly unbelievable, my notebook was infected by numerous viruses and trojans and Rising did not even notice any strange behaviour. They only try to improve the GUI and claim their work is the best, in fact, it's definitely one of the worst antivirus I've ever had.

By the way, I'm very sorry but you're statements don't make any sense with regards to those aspects I've mentioned in my previous post.

So... basically it will do everything on its own automatically and just notify you, or?

I did some very limited testing on MP over a year ago and was not impressed. The interface looked like a media player (I don't like Avasts either--just preference really) and it failed a few of my tests. I would post the results if I could locate them. However, I see Twister as having the most potential out of the Chinese AV/AM's i've seen. If Twister had a HIPS module as powerful as the late ProSecurity I would own a license today. I don't like how Twister runs in the user space and not the kernel (at least the best I can tell it doesn't). MP development is non-existent and proper grammar really is necessary in the western world.

Shill gives me no thrill. Spam - no thank you ma'am. Fan boy gives little joy.

All I see from this fellow is bashing of competitors & unsupported assertions. With this kind of "friend" Micropoint needs no enemies. :thumbd:

What is Twister?I heard many people talk about it,saying it is good. But I don't know what it is.Is it a security software?
Micropiont is a intellective HIPS.It can detect virus and stop virus automatically. It is very convenient. But MP just starts,I am waiting for it to be better.

Looks to me that only the fact that a software is from China is enough to rate it as superior for chinese people?

My experience with chinese software are false positives. LOTS of them. And when I see a chinese antivirus program packed and patched exactly like malware writers do I start to wonder if they write antivirus (or other legal software) during the day and malware in their spare time... "chinese malware is the most complex" - yeah, nice that the chinese people have so much experience writing malware... o_O

That's also a quite bold statement. You're a great professional, Stefan. Don't speak like this solop guy would do.
