    I only turn on GPS if I am getting driving directions. Otherwise it is off.

    Android can recognize your location by other means i.e. surrounding Wifi networks.

    I use similar approach. I don't see a need to have Location services enabled all the time.

    I do too, but there is this (must be triple billionaire) accident lawyer called "the hammer". He must have bought a banner on every billboard made for miles in every direction because his fod shows up everywhere I travel mid-south. Freaking wild stuff. Nail em while on the roadway if radio or smartphone is off. And here I am posting a plug for free :confused:
    Crazy way they spend like it's an eternal pool of moola :eek:

    Wifi networks for sure. My cheap cell plan is pay as you go for data so I end up with wifi almost always on. When I go into a new store that has wifi, I know to expect Google to send a message asking me to rate the store within a day or two.
    I have a VPN setup on my phone but don't turn it on very often. Maybe I should think about using it more often.
