    Ammm...NO
Just my opinion, not a fan of EMSI Software.
Bad experiance one time, was enough for me.
But in their defense.....it was a beta that screwed up my box.

I have only used the free version, which I think is OK.
For real time I take turns between SAS Pro, and AVG AS 7.5.
Since I never have an attack, I do not know which is the better. With a good AV or Suite, I am not convinced that one needs an AS application. I use one anyway just because I have long term licenses.

Just from reading the forums I have the impression that SAS is the best scanner, and I would consider using the free version as my AS application on demand if I used a suite, and the paid version if just an AV.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Anyway, the question was: is it worth buying.

    The regular price from Emsisoft page is € 29,95 / $ 39.95.
Some paid AV versions with extra features for comparison only:
Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium costs € 19.95
    AVG Anti-Malware $ 33.95
    avast! 4 Professional $ 39.95
It simply doesn't give you value for money.
As well it's to expensive for a free AV (+ A2 paid).

I tried A2 paid with KAV, did some tests and recognized that A2 doesn't offer any remarkable extra protection.
The self protection is weak and the memory consumption high.
All in all a sad affair.

    Cheers
