    Hi Everyone

    Title says it all, a simple firewall for a none techie.

    Currently using TinyWall, understand for the most part how to usit but on a number of aspects it does not work for me. Learning does not work all the time and when you add files to the application exceptions that does not guarantee access to the internet. Tried the developer no replies.

    So I am looking for a free VERY uncomplicated, no upselling pop ups as in Zone alarm free.

    Any ideas

    Thanks

    Terry

    I'm using TinyWall too and I really like it. I spent less than 1h to set it with the apps I use and after that I haven't had any issue with internet connections. But I have to say that I don't install too many SWs, so maybe that's the reason.

    Here many people like Windows Firewall Contro from Binisoft https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/windows-firewall-control-4.347370/page-134
    You can use it for free or you can pay US$ 10 for a lifetime license, which allows you to get a popup every time an app wanna access internet

    @TerryWood

    what os are you on?are you gonna use it for outbound control?if not,stick with the built-in fw.the less 3rd party sw you got,the less issues/conflicts there is/will be.
