I started to backup my 80 GB HDD. 3 minutes later when I saw that it will take 2 hours, I decided to stop it and do it next day. So I simply pushed the CANCEL BUTTON. What a mistake! Windows won't start any more...

How is it possible, I want to backup my HDD, I think it is a read only process, but the HDD go wrong?? I'am very disappointed!

I hate to inform you but that was a coincidence of circumstance, unless you were performing a partitioning operation, which canceling can cause data loss, just performing a backup cannot corrupt your operating system. We simply read from the source and write to the destination.
