A Serious Bug in Paragon - VSS combination

Hello Paragon Staff,

There is a bug in Paragon backup products, when a system partition is backed up and restored using VSS as the snapshot technology. I have now confirmed this on three different computers running Vista and various Paragon versions.

Please have a look at the first post of this thread here for the problem.

For the record, I mentioned it on Paragon here on Nov 14th 2009, but the issue was not resolved successfully. At that time I did not know it was a bug, so I let it go.


""Can Paragon team perform a simple test: Install Norton Internet Security 2010 (fully updated), make sure windows update shows a last run history of updates, then backup system partition using VSS and then restore the partition. See if you encounter the problems mentioned by me.""

It shows Paragon does not interface with VSS properly and the backup image is not a correct point in time copy. This is a serious bug!
