ALMOST every time I use OUTLOOK EXPRESS  6.0 and send a message with an attachment, I get this file named "~", say "Tilde", which pops up either on the desktop or in the WINDOWS\ directory.
I'd attach it, but its not the correct type, it has no extension. Just the name: ~
and about 200,000 kb I've looked at it with notepad, and it appears to contain email addresses from my Address book.

Is it some kind of trojan, or worm, or virus or WHAT?
Has anyone heard of this happening?
    Its making me crazy!!!!!
Is it something I should be concerned about?

My OS is Win98SE, I have Norton AV 5 and Zone ALarm both installed. They aren't alerting me about anything, but I'm not convinced.

Thanks in advance for your help. [glow=red,2,300]DU[/glow]

This is a known bug with Windows, when it goes to back up your address book it saves it to the wrong place :)

This will be addressed in the next service pack, apparently. Just delete the file or leave it there :)
