    Hi :)

I've just cleaned up explorer etc thanks to Pieter and the whole computer seems to be running more efficiently....

I've just had a quick look through the new hijackthis.log
(I'm still trying to become familiar with the various sections R1's O2's etc.)

I don't really recognise them ie. Are they safe to leave or should any of these remaining entries be checked or removed??

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {EBCDDA60-2A68-11D3-8A43-0060083CFB9C} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\nzdd.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [449AQR9438ATQ@] C:\WINDOWS\System32\NgiNUdB0.exe

(Do applications normally have such a strange name? or is this the remnants of another nuisance program??)

Below is a copy of the rest of the hijackthis.log

    Thanks

    Regards

    Hi Iedau,

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file) , a leftover, always safe to fix.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {EBCDDA60-2A68-11D3-8A43-0060083CFB9C} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\nzdd.dll = Netzip Download, not really a baddie, but if you do not use it, you can have HT fix it

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [449AQR9438ATQ@] C:\WINDOWS\System32\NgiNUdB0.exe = Peper trojan, that one must be fixed! Generates popups and causes CPU to hang at 100% usage.

Run this uninstaller while being online :

    http://www.memorywatcher.com/uninst.exe

Rest of the log looks ok, but it's best to update XP and IE to the latest security patches at windowsupdate.com

    Hope this helps

    Cheers,
