It was hell not to have any Internet, Cellular and TV services for at least 24 hours but things are back up and running. :thumb: We used and old AM/FM clock radio to check the news and well music. I had my services back about 6am EST as far as I know.

Yes I know when you get those nasty storms! It's a strange feeling not to connect to anything or anyone!

Throw in a daily newspaper and landline telephone, and it would have been just like the good old days :D

I could survive 24 hours with out internet/cellular/tv but for the under 30 crowd it would be panic city, just imagine not being able to look at your phone every 5 minutes.

Okay worse than I thought. CBC news interviewed one of the executives that day and it appeared as though he was going to blow a gasket.

I know how stressed these guys get when a break occurs in their fiber optic network, even though it does not result in an outage because of redundancy. It's just that they're scared out of their minds because until the break is fixed, they are down to only a single loop.

Yeah, but imagine the day we have a major solar storm that ripped off all our communications for weeks or months, this will be chaos!
