    A fascinating look inside Kroll - the private intelligence/forensics firm that is the best in the business. Can they get data from Adam Lanza's computer? Maybe, chances are, they'll get a chance. If the FBI can't recover and it's high profile - it goes to Kroll.

    Ok, but apparently (my guess) that guy simply slammed the HDD with a hammer.
    Or maybe did it run some erasing/cleaning software?

    If I wanted to physically destroy an HDD I would fire it up...

    Not the method I would choose to prevent data recovery unless I had an acid bucket nearby to melt the pieces.
