A Long Awaited Waste of Time (Or Why I Wont Install SP3)

    farmerlee,

    Nice results. What sizes are the page file and hibernation file in those installs. Or the install you have at present? A big page file could bump up the supplied figures.

    Hibernation is disabled and the pagefile size is 600mb so the actual install size is less than a gig for any servicepack.
    I have an old xp pro sp1 cd which is what i used for the first install. I then slipstreamed each servicepack on top of the previous one and did a clean install.

    I think I ended up posting this question in another thread. Duh. Anyway I wonder if there is a point in keeping the service pack files if you downloaded the ISO, and have the CD. Any thoughts.

    What the hell for :blink: you can custom install with the CD, and dont need the service pack files
