Hi, folks: The author is Chinese all right. but the reseller may not be such. On their Chinese web site, the copy costs thier yen 38.00(less than US$6.00,)Whereas on English site charging US$ 29.95. Why is the huge difference ? Importing duty? Therefore, I have some doubts regarding to their unilateral claims. There are plenty of good quality FW around, another one like this, is just one drop in the bucket, meaningless.

I know SiteAdvisor listed Goldtach dot com as an untrustworthy site. Can't remember the reason. However, I can't find any other information that validates Siteadvisor's claim (one of the several reasons I no longer use SiteAdvisor). The firewall is listed at Softpedia, but there are no user reviews, which gives an indication of how popular this software is. Personally, I would stick with the proven firewalls.

Tried it out on windows 2003, it installed ok and loaded up ok after a restart but after that caused me random freezing and crashing of windows. Definitely not a good start.

Having a Chinese origin can you even be sure that the "author" even wrote it himself? Not that stealing software isn't a major source of income in that part of the world.

The Chinese are renown for IP theft in general. That would be enough for me to stay away from the package in general.

Hi, folks: Ethenic origin or background SHOULD NOT play any role on determining quality of anything on this planet(of course, including softwares in this very case). Also, multilingual skill is ALWAYS an asset to your lasting life. Therefore, do not draw any prematured conclusion on anything on this planet. Mind you, some excellent apps are acturally developed in that part of world, although intellectual properties are not quite yet protected there. I would not write anything off just because it is made in China. Just look around in North America, more than 60% of anything are shamefully(if your comment is acceptable) made in China. I am not trying to defend anyone, just a piece of advice; keep our heads high, our visions far, and our minds fair.:)

Many chinese software website are colorred yellow by siteadisor. I think because lots of plugins are bundled. The bitcomet 's website was once indicated unsafe for me, because they bundled a third party IE helper at that time.

Because there are too many pivate software in china, their own developer experience more difficulty to support their work. An feasible way for the starter is to release as adware, or list some links to a sponsor website, the same way old flashget shareware version did. After the product is recognized (mainly by alien users), they might be free or trial.

The problem for the price difference lies in several aspects. When you count on how many tomato you can buy with 38Yen and $25, you might be surprised that the former is more powerful. And if count the percentage in the average incomes, they are close to each other. Many of software release internationally removed the ad plugin (that might because they are mostly support by chinese site). One the other hand, lots of useful programs are released later (Like icesword, an rootkit scaner) or even never released internationally (like thunder downloader or storm codec).

Now come back to the topic. I found an intersting thing. Compare this two yourself:)
