Prior to my extenuated commentary, posted below is the HijackThis log from my system. I use both Spybot and Ad-aware---using just one is inefficient as they compliment eachother.

    Now...
For the last few days I've been watching Avast antivirus whip a msg up saying it has found bdl14025.exe which is infected with Win32:Revop. It then proceeds to tell me that my pagefile is also infected with it. I have turned paging off and then back on, essentially erasing and recreating the file...it still came up infected again. I've attempted repairs with the antivirus, but I'm of the mind that function is a joke, as it works next to never.

I've also been told by the antivirus that there's some other virus I can barely recall ... Defuyc or something like that, also a trojan. Prior to my exasperating attempts to lower their activities, they did things such as:

    1. Random registry lockouts
    2. Disabled Windows Media Slayer (player) .. it no longer loads, I just get a hour glass for a few seconds.
    3. For a split second on boot a browser comes up and goes somewhere and then closes.
    4. random popups at random intervals, and sometimes during page transitions.
    5. Driver corruption, in specific, video drivers ... again at random intervals.
    6. Most recently, a bar about 1/4" or so shows up at the bottom of the screen. Spybot caught it this boot, but the empty space still remains and holds the borders for all new windows.

I am getting rather tired of this, and the funny thing is, is that none of the major antivirus companies have anything that addresses these viruses. I had to do a google search to find forums about them. Needlessly to say, simply running antivirus and spybot/ad-aware doesn't remedy the issue.

Am I going to have to reformat and gamble that nothing I back up will carry this with it, in order to get rid of it?

Have Hijack This fix all of the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and hitting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - _{CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0000607D-D204-42C7-8E46-216055BF9918} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: Curl - {A78CC2FF-6E4E-4556-B27C-D7C3A70D7A50} - C:\WINNT\system32\NDrv.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mswspl] C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [NDrv] C:\WINNT\system32\NDrv.exe

    Reboot and delete

    files
    C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
    C:\WINNT\system32\NDrv.exe

These may be hidden files. See HERE for how to show hidden files.

It will be necessary to replace the wmplayer.exe file. There should be a valid copy in the folder C:\Windows\System32\Dllcache. Just copy the file to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player.

Please post a followup Hijack this log, and say if your problems persist.

This did not help, though I thank you for the effort. bdl14025.exe remanifested itself. Defuyc whatever trojan remanifested, a new one named Win32:NcaseSpyr [Trj] manifested, nothing is purging these from my system. I'm quickly tiring of repetetive virus threats. I'll tell you, as these are .com sites I would really like to know why they are not being shut down for the illegal crap they toss into computers. Further, my browser frequently reroutes to Slotch.com, and if I had the knowledge I'd take the domain down permanently.

I want to know either how to disable all this crap or if I have to reformat to get this blasphemous garbage off of my computer? Spybot/ad-aware and antivirus failed to get rid of it.

On a side note, I don't know what reuw.exe listed in the log is for, it is 64.5 kb. When I did what you said, it was as if I triggered something else. More things manifested themselves, and I think alot of this is tied to Slotch.com and some to Lycos. Some of this stuff was even capable of disabling the Spybot options to lock homepage and hosts file in IE.
