    EASTER,

I've installed dozens of Win11 24H2. Testing. Never a problem. I don't understand why your restores failed.

How many partitions do you have on your SSD? Can you post a Disk Management screenshot?
How did you do the Win11 24H2 install? To a blank SSD or to partitions? Or did you upgrade an existing Win11?

For a friend, who purchased a cheap ex business computer (Dell Optiplex 3050M / 16gb ram / i5-6000T). I freshly installed Windows 24H2 Pro and installed Shadow Defender and Macrium Reflect X for him and he said it has been rock stable, so we'll see in the future if anything goes wrong using an unsupported processors and TPM 1.2

I find all this stuff from Microsoft to be nothing more than a cash grab to get people out there panic buying new hardware when there is no reason to ditch perfectly working hardware.

ThinkPad 540P 2014 W11P fully updated. I just tried to install 24H2 through the setup.exe file. And I got this failure message: x This PC must support TPM 2.0
x This PC must support Secure Boot.
x The processor isn't supported for this version of Windows.

How did others install 24H2 on unsupported hardware? Or do I have to wait until 24H2 comes through Windows Update on my PC?

you already asked that in another thread - and i told you exactly this:
    - no supported CPU although capable popcnt/sse 4.2
    - no tmp 2.0
    - secure boot is EFI=GPT - MBR has to fail

tpm 2.0 and efi=gpt is mandatory. if not met, you never will get 24H2 on your device.
GPT instead MBR needs a full brand new installation, complete different drivers.

Windows Update will not offer it to you at any point. Most folks are using Rufus or similar for unsupported hardware. Try at your own risk, 24H2 has failed for me most of the time, even where previous versions worked.

I have the 24H2 ISO along with Rufus but after my multi BSOD on a perfectly qualified machine, i am content to wait things out awhile.
Never had so many blue screens EVER until this Update.

I got the new Rufus 4.6. Made my own iso. And I have 24H2 installed. I kept on forgetting 24H2 is the W11 OS with current updates. I was thinking 24H2 was the updates alone.
