Yes, but I am not sure if there is a timeframe after which the key will be automatically activated. For example, license keys for KAV/KIS will start activating itself after 3 months of issue, even though you may want to activate the key one year after purchase. If a BD user is using a two years license key, I would doubt if the 3 months key will still be valid after 2 years from now.

 

The license key starts the moment it is entered into the program. No auto-issue.

Although I have not concretely verified it, I'm pretty sure because BD once gave me a one-month extension and specifically told me to use it only after my current license expires in 2008.

 

Now that I've received my email as well, this is strange because my existing license key has been automatically extended and no new 3-month license keys were given.

 

Maybe they treat me as a new customer.
