General Info

They are the viruses that either encodes the files of Ransomware malware system or unable to use and requires a purchase amount to fix the damage.

The test was composed of 4 Ransomware malware and 4 Sandbox (And Policy Based Hips) software.

To identify the Ransomware samples we researched the most frequent Trojans and determined 5 names. We have found of Trojan.Ransom.a don’t have an important effect in our system we didn’t include them in our test. We decided to include the other 4 samples in our test.

Execution of the test

1. Operating system is installed on the virtual machine
2. Operating system is updated
3. Security software is installed on the virtual machine
4. Security software is updated
5. To identify the compatibility of the security software, a test is accomplished.
6. Malware is operated from USB Memory
7. The reaction of the security software is measured.
Steps 5,6 and 7 saved by a camera and presented to watch.
