Hi, I am sure I have been using the Wormguard trial for more than 30 days. How can I find out how long I have been using it? What happens at 30 days? Thx Neggy
Hi Neggy, suppose it might stop working. If you like it, you could be sure to continue it's protection with registering it.
I do like it and will register it but just want to make sure it is all working correctly. Is there a way I can check when it was installed? Thx Neggy
Hi, Neggy How did you test it to say it is still fully working, by doing the using it Test Protection? or with a script of some sort, Take Care, TheQuest
''How did you test it to say it is still fully working, by doing the using it Test Protection?'' Yes. ....and I have numerous word documents called (e.g.) test.xyz.test.doc and when I try to open these up Wormguard opens to check first it is ok to do so.
Hi, Neggy Well what can I say, Mnmm I could say lucky you, but I will not. As you have not paid to go beyond the 30 day trial period, you should either unInstall it or pay for the Full Version. Take Care, TheQuest
I will pay for it as I like it and use it. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of the makers....it could be an error that is costing them?
I don't think its luck... I know it was more than 30 days before I registered. I left it on my pc assuming it would stop functioning and it was long after 30 days that I checked and it still worked fine. In the end, I deemed the program to be useful and now I enjoy the distinction of having the "Licensed to" title on Wormguard. Obviously, whether the software continues to work or not, it would be a violation of the license agreement to continue to run it after 30 days and is considered piracy.
Can't recall exactly where but somewhere in the help file, probably under licensing, it does state that the program will not be disabled in anyway post 30 days trial but it will prompt for reminders to register - daily I think. I only tried this once for a couple of weeks so I didn't get to experience what happens after the 30 days but I do remember reading the help file.
I am trying the trial version. So far so good, I like the idea that the programme does not stop functioning after the 30 day trial period. Perhaps Diamond are simply prepared to allow people more time to to make up their minds. This may come from the fact that Diamond are secure in the knowledge that they have a truly worthwhile and useful product to offer which the user will come to realize for themselves, given time. Others might learn from Diamonds attitude, provided of course they too have faith in their own products. Like their product, Like their style. I will buy the paid version. hitbit
In a similar position, have bought other programs. When I went to their web-site it had old email address, so if I register it, will the key be sent to old address?
