    The early iMacs were certainly colorful and original. Later they started using the bigger flat screens and putting laptop components in them (2.5 inch laptop drives, laptop RAM, etc.)

    What's shocking to me is that even back then the price was already at $1300, so Apple has always been greedy.

    Apple has always been trendy and pricey. And recruiting Tim Cook from Compaq didn't help.
