Ah, here's the quote I was looking for...

Joe, will these changes to come soon bring about any considerable changes to the GUI or more importantly will they add or change any settings/options at how it all is packaged now, or is it more of a backstage change?

Just asking to know if I should hold off on making my setting file backups and screenshots. :)

A scheduled scan suddenly is showing two active threats, which I don't consider a problem...These are old files that have been on the system a long time. How do I clear the exclamation mark in the WSA tray icon.

Should this new version detect any of the EICAR files before they are downloaded?

I am not seeing any detection with Chrome, IE, Firefox or Opera.

Windows 7, 64-bit and no other security software running in real-time.

The eicar.com file is detected when it is executed.

It will also detect it on-download, but not just when browsing to the EICAR website. Some vendors do this, but the website isn't malicious.

You can change the files to 'Allow' under "Block / Allow" files under PC Security and scan again to clear it.

I replied in the other thread as well, but you're safe to back up now - the options will remain the same.

An update on this: I have tested again since my earlier post, and the WSA alert does appear after downloading is completed. It just didn't happen first time round, which meant I could go into the Downloads folder and see the eicar.com file still there. This time around the file was removed from the Downloads folder and put into Quarantine.

Seems strange why it didn't happen earlier.

Mine is always fast about 20 to 30 seconds and almost double the running processes but yours is scanning more files. How many files do you have in your Scan Log?

I stopped clicking after 150, but I guess at least 300.

P.S. I didn't want to waste the power from the batteries in the mouse. ;)

You should contact support and put all the files in the ticket to get them whitelisted then it will scan much faster than 16 minutes. ;) I have 0 files.

I am in the middle of uninstalling WSA, but it hasn't requested a reboot... So I am about to reboot, when I log out of Wilders, right now. ;)

What other products do you have running in realtime? That sounds like something is scanning while WSA scans, slowing down file reading.
