    Eset and Panda improved.

Avira and Webroot need some work.

Not really, but it did good anyway.

    Kaspersky was impressive all over.

    Damn BitDefender did well again.

The only thing I care about is prevention. I would really have preferred to see CIS do better than a 3.0 in that area.

    Still reading through the reports.

BD always seems to get top marks in the AV-Test certification tests, congrats to the BitDefender team if the results were earnt properly.

List of products with 5+ in protection (Most Important Score of the 3)

    - BitDefender Internet Security 2011 = 6.0
    - AVG Internet Security 10.0 = 5.5
    - F-Secure Internet Security 2011 = 5.5
    - G Data Internet Security 2012 = 5.5
    - Kaspersky Internet Security 2011/2012 = 5.5
    - Panda Internet Security 2011/2012 = 5.5
    - Avast Free Antivirus 6.0 = 5.0
    - Bullguard Internet Security 10.0 = 5.0
    - Symantec Internet Security 2011 = 5.0

Vipre did as bad as it usually does on AV-Test with a crappy protection score of 3.0. I hope they improve the protection scores, who cares about repair when protection is 'far' more important in a security product :)

Just noticed Avast. WOW! Hit 5.0 on protection and that is outstanding for a free product. Going have to think about this.

    But congratulations Avast, very good.:thumb:

The reviews for CIS are disheartening. Definitely makes me wish I could switch to Sandboxie for my sandboxing needs. Unfortunately Comodo is the only free program that allows me to use sandboxing in this specific way.

I feel that simply moving form "Partially Limited" to "Limited" will provide a large jump in protection.

Avira used to be tops in detection. Not so much any more.
    Very impressive for Avast Free.

It certainly was. I put it on my laptop a few days ago but still have Norton on the desktop. After seeing this I am likely to switch it to Kaspersky as well.

if you keep changing your setp after every report then you might have to install almost every security product after a few days :D

Excellent protection results for Avast!. Must be since they're using version 6 now.

Bitdefender almost got a perfect score.

What? Nobody here does that!? :D
I was tired of Norton's false positives anyway.

Disappointing results for Comodo, I'm back to KIS for the time being.

I understand your running them on different machines but can you feel any difference between Norton and KAV in how they effect system performance?

I've run each of them on both machines and I will have to say that the performance difference is minimal. Its not noticeable enough or consistent enough to be an issue.

Avast sure is making its way up the latter. Nice to see it doing so well.

Looks like it's worth looking at the actual PDF's instead of the table summary as it looks like there is a discrepancy for AVIRA - it only says 3.5 in numerical value but is showing 4.5 on the graph - then again the graph could be flawed, who knows. :p

Edit: Just had a look on the AVIRA forum and itl ooks like they are already on it.

It would have been really nice to have an AV Test.org representative on Wilders!!!They seem to respond only on Facebook and Twitter.

For AV-C we have IBK and for MRG we have Sweta, so why not for AV Test.org?

    Thanks

Yes it would be nice :thumb: You could send AV-Test an E-mail, tweet etc...with a request to join Wilders :)
