2 WMP 12 open at the same time

I wasn't quite sure where to put this so here goes. I'm running Windows 7 HP x64 and I use the Windows 7 codecs from Shark. I only run the 32 bit package, I used to have both but this bug happens either way. I put in a DVD and autoplay opens it up Maximized to the menu of the DVD like it's supposed to, but on top of the screen I have another WMP 12 without the menu and this one is opened Minimized. So what I'm saying is I have 2 versions of WMP 12 opened on the screen. One is max with the DVD menu and the other is just Min. without the menu. How is this happening and how can I stop it.
