2 issues

    Couple of things...

    I created an Image (with 2 partitions) and then restored it without problems. I even verified the image to make sure it was fine.

    I then copied the image to a DVD, rebooted, and tried to restore it to make sure everything went ok.....

    Ok, so in the middle of the restore, the image failed for some reason, but it didn't say why. When I rebooted via the rescue program, the list of available drives increased by one.

    My Dell came with a hidden partition for boot stuff and now i'ts become unhidden.

    How do I hide it back and why is the DVD image corrupt?

    How did you create the DVD? What software, and what DVD filesystem?
    Did you do a verify after burn, with whatever burning software you use?
