After I start my computer and log in, this message box opens up:

    16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
    C:/WINDOWS/system32/userinit.exe
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:056b IP:0280 OP:ff ff ff ff oo Choos 'Close' to terminate the application.

Also there is a small DOS window open too.

It doesn't respond when I click ignore. When I click close, the message box and DOS window closes leaving only my desktop picture with no desktop icons or taskbar. There is no way of getting into the start menu or internet.

What should I doo_O? PLEASE HELP

Hi, i used to have a 16bit subsystem error when ever i opened 16 bit apps.
you can replace the dll file from the backup folder and put it in to the windows folder.
i will try and help you find the right dll to replace later.
